Captain Pat Heaney

Capt. Pat Heaney has been fishing for over 40 years, with 30 of those in Rhode Island

Pat is a full-time career fisherman. He started lobstering at 14 years old in New York City.

 He pursued his passion to Kodiak, Alaska in the late 1980s. Returning to the East Coast, he has made his home in Newport, Rhode Island, and fished continuously for the last 35+ years.

First Mate Joe grew up in New Jersey on the shore. He came to Newport as a member of the US Coast Guard, and continues as a reservist today. 

His love for and skill at fishing are unmatched.

No! These are natural conditions subject to change and the vagaries of Mother Nature. That said, we seldom return to the dock empty-handed.

If it rains we get wet. Consult your weather report and dress appropriately. The captain makes all the decisions in regards to weather and conditions. 

Fish cleaning is available for all legally harvested catch.  Your catch will be cleaned, iced, and bagged. 

Bring any snacks or food you want to eat. We have cold drinks.

Bring Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Wear appropriate gear for the weather and wear suitable footwear for wet elements
